a) Mickey chose this topic because his grandfather was a bus conductor for over thirty years and his family lived in London for several generations.
 b) By 1900 there were around 6 million people in London and the means of transportation were not developed  so the traffic was supposed to be heavy.
c) The transport companies decided to stop using horses because they were expensive to keep.
d) Red buses became famous over the world because they had an open platform and they offered the best way to enjoy the sights of the city.
e) Private companies were encouraged to offer transport services because the number of population increased, and only one company could not provide the transport services.
