1. Complete the following text using relative pronouns.
At midday, (1) ...... Lorraine eventually finished the letter, she turned to her boss. '(2) ...... should I address it to, Mr Lyons or Mr Harrison?' she asked. Mr Jenkins glared at her irritably over his paper.
' Don't ask stupid questions' he snapped. 'Just write "To (3) ..... it may concern" at the top.' He then went back to the crossword, (4) ...... he had been struggling with for the past half hour.
Lorraine didn' t ask her boss (5) ..... he wasn't working like everybody else. She decided she' d had enough. Clutching the letter (6) ...... had taken her almost all morning to write, she walked over to the desk (7) ...... he was sitting, rolled the letter into a ball and stuffed it into his half-full coffee cup.
For once, Mr. Jenkins, (8) ..... short temper was well know, was speechless. As Mary stared down at him, his lower lip trembled slightly, and for the first time since she had joined the company, Lorraine saw what could have been fear in his eyes.
' I' m leaving now', she said simply. 'And you are the reason (9) ...... I' m leaving. You are, without a doubt, the most unpleasant, incompetent person I've ever met.' Then she turned her back on the man (10) ...... had not said a kind word to her in the six months she had worked there, and walked out of the office triumphantly.​

' Don't ask stupid questions' he snapped. 'Just write "To whom it may concern" at the top.' He then went back to the crossword, which he had been struggling with for the past half hour.

Lorraine didn' t ask her boss why he wasn't working like everybody else. She decided she' d had enough. Clutching the letter which had taken her almost all morning to write, she walked over to the desk where he was sitting, rolled the letter into a ball and stuffed it into his half-full coffee cup.
