->Firstly, technology can be a new way of learning, nowadays one can simply look up the internet to learn everything from tying one's shoe laces, to harvesting nuclear energy.
Our school system denies our children access to such a rich river of information because of fear of loosing control thus phones are the last thing we'd need to ban, if anything we should abolish the schools themselves because they are useless in our day and age.

A ban would damage their social lives and sanity, they acually have relationships to mentain, internet friends and "real ones" and such, we shouldn't make the distinction though as if you were not to touch your friend still your it is, the person you text for hours on end is not diferent to that whom you talk to for hours on end.
