Time: 2H before the accident
One of the soldiers stood up and opend the back door making all the other soliders freefall. The he went up to the pilot and copilot and attempted to highjack the plane. As he was holding the Pilot and Copilot at gunpoint he started to go on about his grandpa's dying wish, he was a WW2 marine who discovered a portal to another world close the the present mission's location, the solider made it his life mission to fulfill grandpa's final request, to find said portal.
At the 12H mark he forced the pilot to radio that everything was ok, minutes after that the plane went underwater, the portal was nowere to be found,it seems he took the life of so many people for nothing.
