Ce înseamnă fiecare cuvânt?

• can = a putea
• can't = a nu putea
• may = a avea voie
• may not = a nu avea voie

Care este diferența?

Noi folosim can atunci când o acțiune este posibilă, însă poate nu avem permisiunea să o facem.

Exemplu:

• I can go to the bathroom, but the teacher won't let me. (Mă pot duce la baie, însă profesorul nu îmi dă voie)

Noi folosim can't atunci când este fizic imposibil să facem un anumit lucru.

Exemplu:

Noi folosim may not atunci când nu avem permisiunea să facem o anumită acțiune.

Exemplu:
