Explicație:   For short adjectives, we must  add "-er'' to form the comparative and add "-est" to form a superlative.

For words that have two or more syllables, we use "more" in front of the adjective to form the comparative and "most" for the superlative.

Adjectives ending in "y" preceded by a consonant, change the "y" into "i" before adding "-er" and  "-est".  E.G  sunny  sunnier   the sunniest.

Monosyllabic adjecives that end in a consonant preceded by ONE vowel, double the final consonant.  E.G.  hot  hotter  the hottest
