Buzău is the seat of the county of the same name, Muntenia, Romania. With 115,494 inhabitants at the 2011 census, it is the eighteenth most populous city in Romania. The city is located on the right bank of the Buzău River, near its exit between the subcarpathian hills, in a region with a temperate climate. In this beautifull city you can visit mud volcanoes, salt domes, live fires, trovans from Ulmet, rock settlements and red amber from Colți are among the most famous attractions of this picturesque region at the bend of the Carpathians.
