After watching the video and listening to Jay Walker talk about how people want to learn English, I understood what he was saying. English is the most spoken language in the world and pretty much is the pass to be able to communicate with a lot of people. In order to get a good job now-a-days, one of the major requirements is to be able to speak, write, and comprehend English. It is important for everybody to know the most spoken language around the world and that is English. But I also feel like people that are native to the English language should take the incentive to learn another language also because this world is becoming a melting pot of different languages. But then again, some people can’t adapt to learning new languages. In my family, it seems that I am the only person that is interested in learning about other cultures and languages so I adapt to learning them easier than my family does. For example, I am not a native English speaker, but I've exercised learning English and for 2 years now, and I tend to think that I'm doing pretty good. It definitely is helpful because when I travel to other countries I can easily speak English if I don't know the language. I am also thinking about learning Korean and Chinese since there are the more spoken languages. I've seen a lot of people speaking these two languages and I am pretty interested in learning them!
