She opened the box but was soon disappointed by her present. She wanted a dog for her birthday, but her parents bought her a toy instead.
She looked at her parents and tried to smile. That’s when they asked her :
“-Do you like your present, Jully?”
-Yes, I will take good care of it. I am happy.”
Her parents smiled and told her to follow them in the backyard. She did as she was told and there was another box. She looked at her parents confused.
-Well, Jully, here’s your present. We hope you’ll take good care of it.
In the cardboard box, there sit a small brown puppy, with big eyes. She was thrilled. It took her some time before she realized it was finally a real animal and she could play with it all day. She decided to name it Fate.
