Dear John, 

Thanks so much for inviting me to your birthday party last week! It was the best time I've had in a long time. 

I enjoyed the music a lot and it was nice to hear a mix of songs that everyone enjoyed and danced to. Remember when everyone started to dance to that song from Hanna Montana that you didn't know? It was so funny to see you trying to understand what was going on. 

The food was so good! Where did you get those nice fruit tarts? I'd love to get some of those myself.
 
And before I forget - great place to have the party, too! It was really original.
