Politeness is a wish to be treated politely and to respect yourself.

I chose this definition of politeness because I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated as they treat others. If you respect yourself and your morals, you will respect others too. For example, if I respect myself, I will not allow myself to swear and humiliate other people, because that would just humiliate my own person. Everyone that respects themselves will act politely with others.
