• 'I used to hate vegetables but now I really like them' Ethan Carter told our reporter. So why has Ethan started eating vegetables? The answer is simple. For the last six months, Ethan and all hisnclassmates have been taking part in an exciting new school project called 'Growing schools'.
• 'We grow carrots, peas and lettuce,' Ethan explained. 'We haven't had lunch yet today, but later we're going to eat salad made with out own lettuce! Lettuce tastes different when you have been growing it yourself!'
• Teacher Dominic Murphy began the 'Growing schools' project. 'At first only a few pupils were interested, but recently more and more children have been coming to the club. They have been working really hard in the garden for the last few weeks and the whole school has eaten fresh vegetables and salads all winter!'.
