Mrs Wilson refused to get into the van because Lucy wasn't there yet. The driver was afraid that the water may flood the engine. The driver told Mrs Wilson that Lucy is probably in the other van. Tom thinks that Lucy is still inside the house. Tom saw someone move behind the curtain inside the Wilsons' house. I think that Tom will rescue Lucy because he has had his boat for a long time and he probably is a good sailor.
