Comparative and superlative adjectives

1. Când vrem să comparăm doua obiecte sau doua grupuri de obiecte, folosim "than". ex: I'm taller than my father. DVDs are more expensive than CDs. His watch is better than mine.
2. Adjectivelor scurte le adăugăm,de obicei, "er". ex: cold→colder long→longer clever→cleverer fast→faster •Daca adjectivele se termina în "e", adăugăm doar "r" ex: white→whiter safe→safer •Daca adjectivele se termina în consoană+y, schimbăm "y-ul" in "i" și adăugăm "er" ex: easy→easier early→earlier happy→happier •Daca adjectivele se termina în vocala+consoană, dublăm consoana finala și adăugăm "er" ex: big→bigger fat→fatter slim→slimmer
3. Adjectivelor lungi(cu mai mult de două silabe), nu le schimbam forma, ci le adăugăm in fața lor "more" ex: expensive→more expensive intelligent→more intelligent boring→more boring
4. Unele adjective au o alta forma de comparativ și de superlativ: ex: good: forma de comparativ→better forma de superlativ→best bad: forma de comparativ→ worse forma de superlativ→worst
