*The central idea of the fragment is how USA is using English as a second language among Non-English-speaking residents.
* I think, that English is used for centuries in world trade, people world wide is used to speak English outside their own countries, isn't hard to learn it, therefore in my opinion, English should be the universal language of trade.

* The theme of the fragment is advertising nowadays. Companies are trying to market their products very aggressively. We are bumping into ads every step on the streets, in our homes when watching TV, navigating on the internet. Advertisements are everywhere.
*I think advertisements are a big influence when it comes to shopping. People tend to follow recommendations of well known companies when they want to buy something. That particular product might not be as good as we think, but beeing under the influence of a good advertising, we tend to choose the most advertised product.
