Life on earth, in the future will be challenging enough. Currently humanity is undergoing a global pandemic, affecting all the people and the countries on our planet. The way people are currently living is affecting our home,planet Earth at many levels.
The climate change, created by the people will affect in the future in a negative way the life on Earth. Air, soil and water are polluted at an unprecedented pace. We are currently facing the sixth extinction known to the human race. This will affect negatively the future life on Earth. Beginning from the fact that the pollinators are dying off and the flowers cannot be pollinated. This will trigger a scarcity in the food supply. Continuing with the fact that due to water pollution and the huge amount of plastic in the oceans, the ocean water is acidifying which leads to major destruction of corals. Over-fishing is another factor which will influence life in the future.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic, could lead to a change in mentality and turn people to be more responsible with planet Earth. This way, life in the future could be a more greener and closer life to the nature, where environmental protection and sustainability will play a major role in the future society.
It's up to each of us to decide how the future life on our Home planet will look like.
