Mihai Volontir (born March 9, 1934, Glinjeni, Kingdom of Romania - d. September 15, 2015, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova) was an actor from the Republic of Moldova, a former deputy in the first Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in 1990-1994. Mihai Volontir was one of the 278 delegates of the first parliament of the Republic of Moldova who voted on the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova on 27 August 1991. In his career, Mihai Volontir starred in 120 roles in theater and film. Budulai's role brought him celebrity throughout the ex-Soviet space as well as the world.  He was also appreciated as a tuneful music interpreter like "This short life," "Moldovans when they get together ...", "Pray", "Pain" and so on. In 2000 Mihai Volontir was nominated as the best actor of the 20th century in the Moldavian cinema.
