Isaac Newton is probably one of the most known savants from the world. Born in Woolsthorpe, England, we owe him a lot thanks to his discoveries.

One of the most know one is the gravity. We all know the story about the apple, but the deeper meaning of this is to explain how the planets and the Sun move. Today this is know as the `Newton's law universal gravitation."

Newton also invented a whole new type of mathematics which later he called them "fluxions". Today they are used in advanced engineering and science.

Another great invention was the reflecting telescope. This one used mirrors to reflect the light and form an image. Today nearly all the major telescopes use this method.
