A piece of art that I like is The Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci. I first saw it for the first time when I visited the Louvre museum in Paris. I know that its a one of a kind painting and that it holds the Guinness World Record for the highest known insurance valuation in history at 100 million USD ( US dollars). I like it because it has a rather simple painting of a woman, Lisa Gherardini, but with a scary, empty, almost an apocalypctic  backround which, for me, means that behind every person is a sad, scary, dark past. That is what makes this painting unique.
