Aron Ralston,27,went out for a one-day walk in US nationl park and was trapped when heavy rocks fell on him.An 365 kg rock, boulder,moved and fell on his right arm.He coulden't mov his arm because it was trapped between the rock and the mountin.
He stayed in this posititon for five days.He had very littely food with him and only a few litres of water.After five days, he knew that too escape he had to cut off his arm.He thought about it carefully and then managed to amputate it with a small pocket knife.The operatin took about an hour.
Mr.Ralston then climbed down the mountin and walked 10 kilometres looking for help.Finally, he foud some other walkers about three kilometres fron a town.When he was rescued,he was very thirsty but calm.
After his ordeal ,Mr Ralston said,'I did what I had to do'.He also said that while he was trapped on the mountain,he sometimes felt at peace and at other times he felt depressed and very frightened.
Surprisingly, he wants to return to the wild when he has recovered.

Aron Ralston avea 27 de ani cand el a plecat la o plimbare pentru o zi in parcul national din SUA. Atunci ia cazut o piatra de 365 kg pe bratul dreapta. El nu si-a putut misca bratul deoarece era blocat intre piatra si munte. El a stat in aceasta pozitia 5 zile. Avea putina mancare cu dansul si putina apa. Dupa 5 zile el sia dat seama ca pentru a scapa este nevoie de a taia bratul. Sia amputat bratul cu un cutit. Operatia a durat o ora.  Mr. Ralston sa dat jos de pe munte si a mers 10 kilometri pentru ajuor. In sfarsit, a gasit ajutor. Cand a fost salvat el era infometat si insetat , dar calm.
El a spus ca " A trebuit sa o fac".A spus ca cat era pe munte a cazut in depresie. Surprinzator , el vrea sa se intoarca cand se va face bine.
