Just at the moment when the Archbishop of Canterbury is about to put the crown on Tom Canty's head, Edward barges in and declares that he is the real king. But nobody believes him, because while he was away, he lost the Great Seal - the only thing that could prove his true identity. Tom doesn't say a word when the guards drag the real king outside, because once he tasted the flavour of power, money and luxury, he couldn't go back to his abusive, poor family and live on the streets. So Tom lies and says Edward is just a lunatic and orders the guards to kill him, so the true king won't cause any more problems. So, Tom Canty, a poor pauper, is the new King, and Edward has no power over him. Edward is devastated, because Miles Hendon, the one who helped Edward escape Tom's father and protected him is now against him, thinking he was truly insane. Miles beggs the King not to kill Edward, but to put him in a mental institution, and Tom agrees, because even alive, Edward could not cause any trouble. But Edward has a plan; a plan to destroy the "King" before he is sent away and get his revenge. So, one night, he somehow convinces a guard to murder the King in his sleep and so he does. The next day, the corpse of the King is discovered and the whole Kingdom is shocked. Nobody suspects "the madman", as he was in prison at the time. There is chaos everywere, and Edward is watching, pleased, as his father's Kingdom is running, confused as what to do. Without a King, nobody could do anything. As the Council struggles to find a new King, the Kingdom is in mourning and is demanding the one who dared to kill a King. Finally, the killer is found, and he is blaming Edward for it, but nobody takes him seriously. The guard is killed, Edward lives a miserable life at the mental hospital, where he dies, and the old King's brother is made King. THE END.
