why do you think people keep dogs as pests

I think people raise dogs as pets because they feel lonely and they need a soul near them. Raising dogs gives to the most of the people a safe feeling. It says that dogs are the best friends of a human. Thus, the people choose to take care of dogs because they are loyal animals. The dogs are special animals, giving a significant importance to the owners.  The dogs understand the feelings and act in accordance to them, being  very close to the human beings.
