My best friend
The person I admire the most is my grandfather. There are many persons near me who love me, protect me, teach me lessons of life, but he is one of my closest friends.
Since I was born, he has embraced me in his calm smile, warm arms and in his stories of our past as a nation. He is the one who has taught me about the Romans conquering Dacia, about the Ottoman Empire and Austro-Hungarian Empire with their unstoppable wish to rule the world, about the bravery of the Romanians who fought against foreign rulers. My grandfather is the person who explained notions of Chemistry, Maths and Physics to the young Leonard when he thought there was no solution to problems. He has encouraged me to fight for my future with the arms that nature has offered me: an open heart, a healthy mind, a fighting soul against lies, a great hope to accomplish one day.
He was and he'll always be here, in my soul. I am sure he's proud of me in everything I do.

Prietenul meu cel mai bun
Persoana pe care o admir cel mai mult este bunicul meu. Sunt mulţi oameni lângă mine care mă iubesc, mă protejează, îmi oferă lecţii de viaţă, dar el este unul dintre cei mai apropiaţi prieteni ai mei.
De când m-am născut, m-a îmbrăţişat în zâmbetul său calm, în braţele lui calde şi în poveştile despre trecutul nostru ca naţiune. El este cel care m-a învăţat despre romanii care au cucerit Dacia, despre Imperiul Otoman şi Imperiul Austro-Ungar cu dorinţa lor de neoprit de a subjuga lumea, despre curajul românilor care au luptat împotriva conducătorilor străini. Bunicul meu este persoana care i-a explicat noţiuni de chimie, matematică şi fizică tânărului Leonard atunci când acesta credea că nu existau soluţii la probleme. El m-a încurajat să lupt pentru viitorul meu cu armele pe care natura mi le-a oferit: o inimă deschisă, o minte sănătoasă, un suflet luptător împotriva minciunilor, o speranţă mare de împlinit într-o zi.
El a fost şi va fi mereu aici, în sufletul meu. Sunt sigur că e mândru de mine în tot ceea ce fac.
