When I saw my best friend running in the street, I knew that something unusual happened. She never runs unless it's something very bad, and, as we've only got out of school and she only had time to go half-way through her route home, it was pretty concerning seeing her run desperately towards me.
"Hey!! There's no time for explaining, you have to come with me as fast as possible!" she said, out of breath.
"Okay! Is everything good though?" I asked, with a frown on my face.
"You'll see."
After what felt like hours, we reached this big mansion. At first it seemed like it was abandoned, however I caught a glimpse of movement in the corner of my eye. I let my friend lead me inside, and...
"Surprise! Happy birthday!" said many voices, some of which I recognized as my parents' and my brother's.
"What?" I said, pretty surprised.
"It's your birthday! Did you forget?" my best-friend laughed.
"Oh God! You're right. Thank you so much, guys! I'm speechless."
