Observaţii:

Diateza pasivă se foloseşte pentru a arăta interesul faţă de persoana sau obiectul care este supus/supusă acţiunii şi nu faţă de cine a făcut acţiunea.

We found the pencils.

Noi am găsit creioanele.

The pencils were found by us.

Creioanele au fost găsite de noi.

Diateza pasivă în limba engleză se formează din două elemente:

• forma verbului "to be" ("a fi") la timpul impus de indicii de timp
• +
• participiul trecut al verbului de conjugat

Exemple:

This car is driven every day. (Present Simple)

This car is being driven right now. (Present Continuous)

This car was driven yesterday. (Past Simple)

This car has been driven for about 10 days. (Present Perfect Simple)

This car will be driven tomorrow. (Future Simple)
