I think that, everybody that would discover that she/he has a magic power would trow any pain away, being replaced by hapinness.in this case, the boy probaly would get happy seeing that he can control the rain. Probaly bacuse he is very sad, likes to see the sky crying with him. Probaly that would make that pain to go away in a moment...
