I agree with the given statement, that uniforms in school should be compulsory because it would help shape a different view of things for the kids, making them have better values than the ones that are based on physical appearance and superficial things.
Firstly, wearing a uniform at school will make it impossible for kids to judge, differentiate and classify each other based on their clothes, which would drastically reduce the bullying, eliminating a barrier of financial status between students, allowing kids to be in an environment with less superficial and materialistic differences, an environment where it doesn’t matter whose parents can afford expensive brand clothes, that “make you cool” and you just have to be yourself to show who you are, not to think that having a certain jacket or t-shirt will automatically make you “someone” in school, understanding that life is much more that that and that judging others based on their clothes is wrong.
Secondly, wearing the uniform can contribute to a less materialistic based opinions or even values systems of the kids.
To sum it up, I believe that school uniforms are very good and help kids have better standards and values and I believe they should be compulsory.
