The more we read, the greater readers we become
It is a logical fact that when you read more, you can learn to read more
fluently, you learn more words, your pronunciation betters itself and your
imagination expands. You are able to predict logical solutions to problems
and your reading speed grows. It is very important that we all read
something everyday, whether it's a newspaper or just a short story, as long
that you understand what you're reading, it's good. There is no such thing
as useless reading, it's only when you don't understand what it is you're
reading, it's not useful. After you get in the habit of reading on a daily basis,
you can write your own stories for others to enjoy, but it is also a way to
explore your imagination and develop your own particular writing style.
Mark Twain did get anywhere just by getting and pen and a paper and just
wrote down because if that would be all that he'd done, he'd have no
ideas, and thats a huge "no-no". You start off by reading small stories like "Curious George" and eventually advance to "The adventures of Tom Sawer".
Once you have discovered your writing style, you are good to go. Don't
stop just yet, you have to continue this, your neurons in the brain haven't
only multiplied, but if you disrupt this practice, they'll only disappear. It's
that simple. so go ahead and read that "White Fang", or go on and
analyse that story, it will only do you a favour. Now kids, go ahead and
read. Read, read, read, read and read. It's that important, in the long run,
you'll benefit.
