On May 24, Queen Victoria of England was born at Kenisngton Palace in London, England. The Queen drove for sixty-three years a brilliant, continually expanding empire. Although constitutional monarch, and thus formally lacking in power, Victoria has made his name renowned and has become one of the most famous characters in the world of the nineteenth century.
Victoria was the daughter of George IV's brother Prince Edward Prince Kent and Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg. He was born in England, but close to the limit, considering that her mother, pregnant in eight months, had just returned from Germany with the carriage. After the death of his father, Victoria was raised quite strictly by his mother, who wanted to get the power through her. Only the first thing Victoria did when he climbed the throne at eighteen was to declare his independence and to emphasize his authority.
