Viorel Moldovan was born in 8 July 1972, in Romania. He is a retired Romanian football player. He was an important player for Romanian national team in 90s, and recently he was the manager of AJ Auxerre. At club level, he played for important teams like FCU Politehnica Timișoara in 2005, Dinamo Bucharest in 1993-1995 and others. At national team, Moldovan capped 70 times, scoring 25 goals. He represented his country at Euro 96, the 1998 FIFA World Cup, during which he scored goals against England and Tunisia in the first round, and Euro 2000.
