Thranduil is a fictional character in J.R.R. Tolkien`s Middle Earth. He is supporting character in The Hobbit, where he is reffered to as "Elvenking" the one who rules Wood-elves.
Thranduil is tall, slim and beardless young elf, with long golden hair. What I like most about him is his glittery grey eyes and his noble atitude.
He wears a crown made of red leaves and berries in the autumn, and a similar crown of flowers in the spring. He wears exquisite silk and leather clothes and jewels fitting his rank. Anyway, he`s got a weakness for gems.
Thranduil is a king in his prime, doing his duty to his people and the region. He loves the forest thought it is dark and dangerous in many parts and enjoyes hunting and feasting among the trees with his people. He is skilled in managing his realm, wise and reasonable, powerful and gentle, but fierce with his enemies and too proud sometimes.
He also provides ti be a formidable warrior and a master of the sword in the desperate fights against spiders and orcs.
You have to love Thranduil at least for his slender and graceful way that he presents himself.
He`s just like a beautiful butterfly showing the true greatness of this character and his true love for his elven kin as well as kindness towards others.
