One night, Alex was standing in his room trying to pass time while reading a book. Sitting in his dimly lit room, he heard his sister call out to him.
‘Alex, come to the kitchen for a little bit! I need some help.’
‘Can’t you do it yourself? I’m trying to read here.’

He didn’t hear any reply back. He walked to the kitchen, annoyed, and yelled out to his sister.

‘Stephanie, where are you?’

Again, no reply. As he was wandering around the house frantically, searching for his sister, the lights went out. That really freaked Alex out.

‘Stop playing games, Stephanie! I’m not joking around! Turn the lights back on, you’re scaring me!’

Quiet. Not one sound could be heard in the house. Suddenly, he heard a loud noise coming from the basement. He took a deep breath, and knocked the door.
