To the Zoo
Last summer I went to Bucharest and I also visited the Zoo in Baneasa, which is located in the Baneasa forest.
I always thought that at the Zoo animals are kept in cages, but it seems I was wrong because I really liked the way this Zoo looks like. There are large enclosures for the wild animals and also for the domestic ones.
Not everyone who lives in the city has seen all the domestic animals in our area.
I especially liked the lemurs. They are really something: they run one after another, they they stay in the sun. Lemurs are social and live in groups that usually include fewer than 15 individuals. I couldn't count how many there are at Baneasa, but they were super cute!
Also, I saw suricates. They also like to take sun baths. I like the way they sit up and supervise the place.
My brother is a fan of raw force so he mostly enjoyed the lions, the tigers and the leopards.
But the bears were very much appreciated. They were playing around with each other, often falling into the pond they use a pool to cool of.
My mother liked the bird section: peacocks, trumpeters, hornbills, bee-eaters, parrots, ostriches, owls and many others took her eyes and ears away with beautiful plumage and trills.
My father liked the fox and the lynx. He also stayed a lot near the wolf enclosure and near the antelopes and deer.
Our visit was a success! I wish I could visit it again!
