Every year we celebrate Easter at home. On the Easter eve lots of family members come: from grandparents, to aunts and even children’s lovers. My mom dyes a few eggs with red food dye and makes more traditional dishes and sweets such as “sarmale” and “salam de biscuiti”. The next day, on the actual Holiday, we go to the Church to light a candle and then we can crack the eggs by bumping them into each other, we can’t do that without taking Light first.
