Describe your ideal neighbourhood ,rapid plz

I'd like a smallish neighborhood within a very large city that feels like it's got its own culture. Ideally, it's all moderately sized walk-up apartment buildings (five or six stories, max), though a few townhouses are okay. There should be a mix of public and private amenities. I prefer racially integrated neighborhoods with religious diversity. I look for vibrant communities that support themselves with locally owned grocers, bakers, restaurants, delis, bars, etc. Active community board and local politics. I don't need concert venues or big entertainment, but I like it to be a short public transit ride away.
