My favourite book is called "The war that saved my life". It's a book with its action situated in the World War Two and I really like this book because it's really inspirational. It's about an 11-year old girl who was living practically caged in her own mother's apartment, because her mother hated her because of a birth defect, a bad right leg. She couldn't walk, but only crawl, and she had never been outside her room. They were also very poor because her mother worked at a pub, not earning a lot. Her father had died years ago from an illness. The girl, named Ada, also had an 8-year old brother, Jamie, who was the only person that she liked there. As soon as the war started, the kids that went to the town's school were sent away, Ada running away with Jamie without their mother's knowledge. Then an adventure starts when the woman that takes them in, Sarah Smith, that didn't initially want to take them, actually comes to care for them and love them like their mother couldn't, bombs start falling from the sky, destroying Sarah's house, fortunately, right when no one was at school. Of course more things happen, but these are just a few of the most important.
