Cinderella was a pretty, hardworking girl, who had the bad luck of growing up motherless. She was goodhearted, kind, nice and polite. Her father married another woman who already had two girls from a previous marriage.
To protect her own offspring, the step-mother requested that Cinderella does all the work in the house without demure. As the step-mother noticed that her girls were uglier than her step-daughter, she pretended that Cinderella wore old clothes and slept in cinder (this is where her name is coming from). Nevertheless, her beauty was visible even under that modest clothing.
It seems that the spirit of her dead mother protected her and helped her when she needed, and finally she became a happy and reach well-married woman.
