I also agree with the two previous posters. Having lived in the Canaries for many years it's not somewhere that I want to visit on holiday. We go to visit friends in Seville every year, where the weather is practically guaranteed to be sunny during the day. We don't like it too hot, so tend to go in the winter. We don't sit on beaches, but quite like being beside the sea.

In northern Europe we tend to take our holidays in June as we get the long days. We like to go on holiday to a variety of destinations, including cruises. The weather isn't that important to us on holiday, although when it's sunny it is a bonus. As already mentioned we also know the dangers of sunbathing, so don't sunbathe these days. As long as it is bright and dry we are fine.
