Last week I went to an exhibition of paintings in the Barbican Arts Centre.I'm not really a great art lover,but I read good reviews of that exhibition and I was keen to see it.When I arrived,lots of people already queue'd  in front of the doors.I joined the queue and , when the doors opened, I realized that I stood in the queue for more than half and hour.I hoped it was worth it.But once I was inside, many of the paintings dissapointed me.I never saw such nonsense before.Most of the paintings seemed upside down to me.Though I spent a lot of time looking carefully at each one,I had difficulty understanding what the artist meant.Finally , as I looked rather stupidly at one of the paintings,an old gentleman stopped behind me and began to explain the whole thing to me.He kindly answered all of my questions and we talked for over an hour when he looked at his watch and told me the had to leave.We shook hands , and said "good bye".For me it was as if someone gave me a pair of magic glasses.Now I found that all the paintings were really beautiful.
