The earth has enough resources to provide the basic needs for every human. However a man's greed can be even greater than that so earth cannot satisfy the greed of a man because it can be infinite and the resources of the earth are finite and cannot be created. We have enough food and water on earth so that nobody would starve but greedy people demanded more than they could take so that many people starve and poverty is more and more common. If they could people would want their own Earth and even then they wouldn't be pleased. Earth can't satisfy people's greed, nobody can, but Earth can satisfy their basic needs.
