I remember the day when I traveled through Russia like it was yesterday. I visited 5 cities and all of them were amazing.

The plane had landed in Moscow, and that was just the start of my unforgettable week. I had a lot of tourist attractions noted in my small notepad that I kept carrying with me for the next 7 days.

I've visited Kremlin in Moscow first. And it was breath-taking. Kremlin is the home to the nation's top governmental offices, the walled enclosure also houses four cathedrals built in the 15th and 16th century as well as several notable museums. The 250-acre grounds include the Armoury, filled with royal treasures of the past, and the Diamond Fund Exhibition, a collection of jewelry that includes a 190-carat diamond given to Catherine the Great.

Next I've visited Saint Basil's Cathedral and I found out few amazing facts about this cathedral. I've found out that it was built between 1554 and 1561 and situated in the heart of Moscow. It's a popular tourist attraction in Russia, and it isn't that popular for the artifacts or the building's interior that attract people. It's rather the cathedral's distinctive architecture.Designed to resemble the shape of a bonfire in full flame, the architecture is not only unique to the period in which it was built but to any subsequent period. This building is unique.

I've visited Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. It was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great. This museum holds art and culture showing the highlights of a collection of over 3 million items spanning the globe.

When I heard about the Lake Baikal, the oldest and deepest lake on Earth, I knew I had to stop and visit it. The view was stunning, I took a lots of pictures there. And I couldn't stop to that, I had to check it on the internet so I found out that Lake Baikal holds around 20 percent of the world’s fresh water. It is located in Siberia. And the 25-million-year-old lake is surrounded by mountain ranges.

I've also visited Saint Sophia Cathedral, located in Novgorod, Russia’s oldest city. Saint Sophia Cathedral is situated within the grounds of the city’s Kremlin.

I went in Karelia, a region in Northwestern Russia that borders Finland and the White Sea, on Kizhi Island which is best known for its incredible open-air museum. Karelians have lived in the region since the 13th century, torn between the cultures of the East and the West.

And with that I've finished my holiday in Russia. I had my phone filled with photos and my mind with great memories.

Sper ca te-am ajutat, spor la teme si scz ca n-a fost de 5 minute cum am zis.
