A very big differnece between the 17th century and the 21st would be that now adults can enjoy life 'till the age of 80 aproximatively. At that time, health care was really expensive and only rich people could afford it and so many ordinary and poor people would die because of illnesses and infections that now can be treated very easily. Also, now people are used to taking a shower at least once a week but in the 17th century it was very rare.
