1. You are in the middle of your final exams and the next door neighbour insists on playing the stereo at top volume. If only my next door neighbour wasn't playing the stereo at top volume, then I could concentrate on studying for my final exams.
2. You were very rude to your mother. I deeply regret being rude to my mother, she didn't deserve such behaviour from me.
3. More people become homeless every day. I wish there weren't so many homeless people out there.
4. Some of your friends drop rubbish in the street. I regret being friends with such people, they mustn't litter.
5. Your parents worry too much about your future. I wish my parents hadn't worried so much about my future, I know what I want from life.
6. You agreed to take Sam (the next door neighbour's dog) for walk every day. If only I didn't agree to taking Same for a walk every day; it was fun at first but now it's starting to get annoying.
7. It is dangerous to walk in some areas of big cities. I wish it wasn't dangerous to walk in some areas of big cities. As citizens, we should feel more safe.
8. Your English teacher has asked you to read the whole Jane Eyre for next Monday. If only my English teacher hadn't asked me to read the whole Jane Eyre for next Monday...there's simply not enough time!
