In essence, they are synonyms. However, there are contextual differences:

“Job” - work done in return for payment of some sort (eg: ‘This is my first job since leaving school.

“Work” - effort, paid or not, towards a specific goal (eg: I hate mowing the lawn; it’s hard work.

“Profession” - an occupation that usually involves complex, lengthy training at advanced levels. Can also be used to express a class of those engaged in a specific field (eg: ‘the medical profession’, ‘the legal profession.
