The doctor said, so he wouldn't worry Michael and Gideon. The crew kept going through the Lompoul Desert, the smallest desert in Africa, the hot sun keeps scorching down upon them, but they keep going. In time, they start getting tired, henceforth, they took a small break, and laid down on the ground. The doctor asked Michael to hand him his backpack, and surprise, the doctor prepared emergency rations for the trip. He handed Michael and Gideon a bottle of water. The common, mundane bottle of water looked so different, so blissful, as if it had been handed down by angels. After they relaxed a bit, they kept going, towards the village, where Anne was, Michael's wife. Michael and his best friend Gideon set off towards a nearby city because they required a doctor's helps for Anne. Anne was acting strange from what Michael's said, the cause was unknown, but at times she felt like another person.
The doctor and the two friends reached the village, those two took him inside Michael's home, where his wife was. A humble, yet well-known doctor, traveled all the way from his town and even crossed the desert for a patient, that's how dedicated he is to his job. When they reached the house, Michael and Gideon were excited, since they found a doctor, but that's when Anne said something strange. She said: "Who are you people?". The two friends were confused, Michael told her: "What? I've only been gone for a few weeks and you already forgot me?". Anne kept looking at the trio confused, not knowing what to do, she started screaming at them, begging them to leave. The doctor takes Michael and Gideon outside and starts asking the friends questions about her strange behavior. Michael says that at times, when he looked at Anne, he could see two sides, as if, there were two of them, two existences clashing over control over the body. Just as the doctor was about to tell them, Anne came outside and started hugging Michael, since he was gone for a few weeks. Michael and Gideon were confused, so Michael asked Anne if she remembers what happened a few minutes ago. She said that she was sleeping, and she heard the commotion outside, so she decided to check it out. Anne invited all of them inside and treated them to a nice dinner. When night came, the doctor pulled Michael outside and told him about Anne's condition. He couldn't be 100% certain without any further investigations, but he assumed that Anne had Multiple Personality Disorder. A disorder, where a person has multiple personalities. The doctor went into detail about the disorder and recommended Michael to take her to his hospital, so he could conduct tests to see if she truly has Multiple Personality Disorder. That's when Michael did something that shocked the doctor, he denied his kind offer, because he loves Anne the way she is, and even if there's another Anne, he will start loving her as well. The doctor kindly told him that it's not the best idea to leave a potential patient that has MPD alone, without any medication, since the other personality could be dangerous, and yet, Michael still denied it. The doctor was sad since he knew the risks, and even though he told Michael the risks, he wouldn't budge, knowing that his love could fix it. The doctor left, disappointed, with a saddened look on his face. On his way back towards the town he wished the two of them the best, and he hoped that what Michael told him that night would become true, his hope was truly genuine and at that moment, he prayed for them.
