i love visiting venice but what i like the most is when the carnival is taking place in february...everyone is wearing colorfull masks and everyone is having so much fun! some people actualy call it Europe's paradise because of the nightlife there! vemice is a modern working city and not a museum as most people think! altough people say it' quite crowded there i still enjoy going to this wonderfull city! venicy is popular for the long and big canals that are going true the city and help the transportation andthe enviroment for not using gas! All in all Venice,Italy is amazing!

February is the carnival season for Venice when everything seems magical with the ghostly masks that are hanging from the ceiling and the impossible mission to distinguish the performers and the spectators.
Venice is a modern city, not a theme park. People are buying groceries from floating shops and go to work by boat.
To find the real city is the Rio di San Luca which is a canal that was drained by the remains of Venetians lives.
Due to the canals that drained, Venetia has lost their glorious opera house, La Fenice, since the firefighters didn't have water to pump onto the blaze.
Venice isn't just humdrum of daily life and remnants of history. Venice houses some of Europe's finest arts. The visitors think there is too much to take in- too many works of art in too many places.
So if the Venice becomes too much for you, you can have a little escape to one of Venice's islands, Murano. Murano is a island where glass is being made and which glass is found in museums everywhere. The area is being severely polluted because the water is getting filled with arsenic.
Besides Murano, there is Burano, where the houses are painted in blue, red and every color in between.
The night life in Venice is reputed to be dull but after dark, is considered one of the most thrilling cities on earth. Going out at night it's certainly a fascinating experience, when the thick fog rolls in, when the stone walls begin to drip and when you hear snatches of conversation and footsteps from shadowy alleys. Venice is a beautiful and multifaceted city.
