  2. It started in a baker's shop on Pudding Lane belonging to Thomas Farriner.
  3. It lasted for five days.
  4. People got away from the fire instead of fighting it, they rescued as many belongings as possible then fled. Thomas Farriner and his family climbed out of a window and onto their neighbour's roof to escape the fire in their bakery.
  5. The Navy used gunpowder to destroy the buildings that were fueling the fire, and by the next morning, the fire had been stopped.

  1. There are three things needed to start a big fire: a spark, fuel and oxygen.
  2. The things that started the fire back in 1666 were the sparks from the overheating oven, the fuel in everyone's pantry and the perfectly blowing wind.
  3. The fire was difficult to fight because it started in a poor area of the city, where houses were built very close to one another, thus, it was a very small place which allowed the fire to spread faster.
