Last week I met an old lady called Cindy. She was eighty-two. She was a beggar. She talked to me and I heard the story of her entire life. I felt so sad when she finished it that I almost cried.
As I had felt sorry for her, I gave Cindy some money.
This morning something wonderful and amazing has happened to me. I met Cindy again, but, my goodness, she was different. She told me the following.
"Since you gave me that money my life has changed completely. With the money you had given me I bought a lottery ticket and I won. I bought myself a house where I'm living now. I also bought some new clothes, a TV set ... you can't imagine how happy I am!”
