If there was a thing we can not control, well that's the time. Living in present is the most important thing nowadays. Being stuck in the past is not necessary a good thing.
Life comes with ups and downs but no matter what obstacles we go through, we should find a way to overcome them. As long as we can, we have to do our best in life so that we won't regret it later.
As Lewis Caroll once said, ,,I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then", accepting the possibility of changing your mindset in your life is pretty important. Life is like our mirror. We see us as we are, with goods and bads. If yesterday, for example, I chose to not do my homework, today I might regret this, but can I undo what I have already done? The answer is pretty simple, I can't. But today, after experiencing the consequences of my action, I choose to not repeat it again. Because I hated the consequences, I can't live in yesterday, because as wise Mr. Caroll said ,,I was a different person back then".
As for the future, now I understand what might happen if I will ever do such a dumb thing again, yet it's better to correct and understand your mistakes early so that you won't repeat it.
We can't live in yesterday, because that means we were different people comparing to who we are today. I do think and belive that Caroll Lewis said such a thing in order to explain to the world that the present is better than the past, all thanks to the fact that we might be greater people than we were.
