If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him. Agree or Disagree ?? healp please

I think that if the artist is nlt folowing his vision and doing what other people say, he can't be called an artist over all.
The artist needs to do what he thinks, to keep our culture nourished and so art dosen't become boring.
